Is the system safe? Our system is tested and safe! Before use, complete online training and follow the operating instructions and all safety instructions . That’s it!
-
What about Retention? The lashes last until the natural lash falls out as part of the natural hair growth cycle.
-
Does the light harm the eyes?If you follow our safety instructions, it won’t hurt your eyes! You just have to make sure that neither you or your client looks directly into the light. However, this does not happen when the system is used correctly, because the lamp shines from above onto the closed eyelid and never directly into the eye. Also you as a stylist have no direct eye contact with the light and are additionally protected by our Glow Lash PROTECT safety glasses. You can also use our UV Barrier cream on any of your clients exposed area to the light. In short: Follow all the safety instructions printed in the operating instructions and you and your customer are safe!
-
How should I store UV Adhesive? The glue should be stored in the supplied pouch to protect it from UV light. It should also be stored in a cool and dry place away from direct sunlight if possible, and never in the refrigerator.
-
What is the shelf life of the UV Adhesive? When stored correctly, the opened glue has a shelf life of 6 months. Unopened, the glue has a shelf life of 1 year.
-
Does it work with all Lashes?Yes, our Glow Lash system works with all types of lashes, regardless of brand. Whether Mink Lashes, Silk Lashes, Cashmere Lashes, Easy Fan Lashes, Flat Lashes, premade lash fans & so on!
-
What if I want to apply to each eye alternatively? There are several possibilities. 1. You can tilt your client’s head to one side at a time. 2. You change the position of the lamp each time. 3. You buy a second lamp and use one lamp per eye. You operate the right lamp with your right foot and the left lamp with your left foot. This is the most popular option if you want to alternate the eyes. However, lash-to-lash gluing is the easiest option with the Glow Lash System: because the glues dries immediately, you can go straight to the next lash without fear of stickies.
-
I use a ring/moon light, is there any problems with this? No, you won’t have any problems here.
-
What techniques does it work with? Our system works smoothly with any technique: classic, hybrid, premade fans, volume technique, mega volume.
-
Do I need a special remover? You can remove the lashes as usual with a normal remover, but I can't guarantee this as I have not tested them all. I do recommend our hypoallergenic Glue remover.
-
What is the lifespan of the LED's used in the Glow Lash system? The approximate life of the lamp is an incredible 30,000 hours! If you calculate a treatment time of 1.5 hours per customer (which is already a lot, since refills are usually faster), this means that you can treat 20,000 customers with the lamp. If we assume that you treat 40 customers per week (5×8 customers per day) – also quite a lot – then this means that the lamp thereotically lasts for 500 weeks of continuous work. So about 9.5 years. And here we have calculated that the lamp is permanently on during the treatment – which is not even the case. So you can multiply the values well and good even times 3 or times 5.
-
Do I have to shake the UV adhesive?Yes, you should shake the glue for about 30 seconds so that the ingredients mix well.
-
How do I remove lashes that have grown out?Lashes that have grown out can be removed with tweezers as usual during refill. There is no difference from the traditional way.
-
Can allergies occur? In rare cases, allergies do occur, and these are extremely sensitive customers. So there is no guarantee for being “allergy-free”!
-
Does the UV lash adhesive contain cyanoacrylate?Although it is a LED UV system, our glue still contains cyanoacrylate. We found that completely cyanoacrylate-free glues can be manufactured but perform poorly in practice. Curing would be more difficult and slower.
-
How Far should the light be from the client? The lamp head should be about 10 – 15cm away from the natural lashes and the glue dot your curing should be in the center of the light cone.
-
How do I trigger the light? The light is triggered with a foot pedal, so you have both hands free for work.
-
Who should the system NOT be used on?The treatment of pregnant or breastfeeding persons may only be carried out after prior consultation with a doctor. In case of doubt, treatment should be avoided. The system should not be used if the treated person has any of the following symptoms in the area of the eye where the light from the system may shine: abrasions, keloid – or unhealed scars, herpes, psoriasis, other infectious or inflammatory skin diseases, fungal infections, wounds, sunburn, neurodermatitis, skin cancer. The system should not be used if the user or the person being treated has the following symptoms: Epilepsy, polymorphous light dermatosis, photosensitivity, radiation or chemotherapy, hemophilia. The system should not be used if the user or the treated person is taking photosensitizing medication such as neuroleptics, systemic dermatics and antiepileptics.
-
Which lash glue base should I use?You can use common lash glue bases, but not transparent bases or bases made of glass. Daylight could be reflected through the glass and thus prematurely curing the glue dot.
-
What is the ingredients of your UV lash adhesive?Ethyl cyanoacrylate, Sodium stearate, Photoinitiator.
